We also offer training which will assist law enforcement agencies construct professional structures to manage Humint and the multiplicity of intelligence gathering streams available today. This course empowers delegates with the skills required to proactively target and recruit covert human intelligence sources. Delegates will receive instruction delivered in a scenario driven manner that reflects the challenges of recruiting the right person at the right time in the right place. Key areas of target research, character and profile vulnerabilities, motivation, opportunity, defensive surveillance, record keeping, Intelligence management and grading will be explored in depth.

This course is designed for delegates who are required to manage the flow of intelligence for their organisation. Threat identification and tasking of resources will be explored as will processing, protecting intelligence, record keeping, intelligence grading and dissemination.


This course is designed to enable management level delegates to robustly review and advise on information intelligence protection, dissemination and security related issues involving or emanating from law enforcement reactive operations.

This course has been designed to assist delegates tasked with protecting borders, ports and travel hubs. Delegates are shown best practice techniques regarding the assessment of entrants, interview techniques, partnership cooperation, collation and information dissemination.

Delegates will learn how to evaluate behavioral patterns, interpret body language and signals that indicate threat. This course has been designed to assist delegates and community leaders to understand the importance of working with local communities to offer a counter narrative to those promoting radicalisation. Delegates gain an understanding of how to gain community trust and with that, the opportunity to gather information on those promoting extremism and presenting a danger to the community.

Designed for delegates who perform an intelligence collation function that feeds into the intelligence led policing chain.  A collator is the link between police departments, collecting information and briefing both up and down the chain of command.

Designed for analysts and operational staff working in both intelligence and investigative roles. Topics include strategic and tactical assessments, identifying trends and hot spots, link analysis and threat assessment (suspects, associates and locations)

This course equips delegates with the skills required to undertake foot, mobile and static surveillance in hostile conditions. After successfully completing the course delegates are in a position to use the ABC foot positioning system, trigger, static boxing, cornering, position, cover, urban awareness, third party awareness, conduct mobile surveillance, biometric recovery and DNA.

This course has been designed to enable delegates to maximise photographic equipment capability with the aim of obtaining good quality evidential or intelligence product. By the end of the course even delegates with no previous h photographic experience have a sound understanding of digital camera / video handling, use of cover methods, vehicular and static techniques.

Investigative Training

Equips delegates with the initial skills required for the investigation of homicide and other serious crime. The course focuses on developing an investigative strategy that combines theoretical process and a structured investigative approach. The course develops the delegates capacity around initial response to homicide and effective lines of enquiry, including: fast track actions, establishing an investigation team and decision making in an ethical framework. The content and style reflects the ethos ‘search for the truth’ as opposed to ‘search for the proof’. Case studies are used to unlock and reinforce learning.

This course is aimed at managers supervising crime cases. Key learning will be delivered on strategy, decision making and best practice for law enforcement in guiding investigations.

Delegates will attain the skills required to understand the decision-making process when selecting a methodology for an investigation, demonstrate how to make effective key decisions, develop investigative strategies, understand the benefits of working with other agencies and advisory groups when managing investigations and understand the operational risks that may arise when investigating crime.

Delegates will be equipped with the skills required to identify and recover evidence from a variety of crime scene environments. Emphasis will be placed on maintenance and preservation of the scene to secure best evidence for criminal proceedings.

Globalisation and with it, ever faster connectivity coupled with technological advances are major factors in its advancement.

The transnational nature and inter linking of crimes such as drug trafficking, people trafficking, contraband and firearms make the rewards so great for successful criminals it is unlikely to stop anytime soon. If such criminal activity gains a strong foothold in a country, it is extremely difficult to eradicate.

The ability of the internet to transgress state borders means that organised crime can operate criminal ventures whilst domiciled in another jurisdiction. Consequently, we have developed a comprehensive course that empowers delegates with the skills required to investigate this rising form of crime.

Our interview techniques course covers both witness and suspect interviews with an emphasis on understanding the difference. The course learning is predicated on a strong understanding of the functionality of memory. This is achieved understanding how the memory works and how to effectively maximise memory recall. The PEACE model is a key theme of the course and how to use it to effectively manage an interview utilising effective questioning techniques and rapport building.

This course has been designed to explain the key roles and responsibilities of Law Enforcement Analysts. Delegates will attain the skills to collect and evaluate the information required to produce a defined analytical product, develop inferences from collated information, identify intelligence gaps around trends and hot spots, make appropriate recommendations, identify the key components and content of a written intelligence analysis product, and disseminate the findings in a secure format.

Corruption occurs when an individual puts personal interest above those of the people and ideals which he or she is pledged to serve and can have a devastating impact on organisations and communities. Our training is designed to give delegates tasked with vital anti-corruption roles the skills to investigate this crime utilising covert and overt methodologies aimed at capturing evidence and protecting staff.

This course is aimed at upskilling delegates who already have a foundation in tactical policing and who may be first on the scene of a mass casualty situation. Throughout the course realistic scenarios will be examined with delegates gaining the knowledge of how to triage these incidents in an effective and life-saving manner.

Our tactical officer foundation training encompasses all the skills required to operate safely and efficiently within both rural and urban environments. The training concentrates on patrolling on foot and in vehicles, reacting to potentially violent situations and planning reactive operations. Key learning is delivered on the use of hand-cuffs, police baton, planning and briefing for operations, conducting check points, reacting to ambush situations, personal safety techniques and basic firearms skills.

Our containment course will give the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to safely contain a building or area until the arrival of specialist support. The course will include basic negotiation skills to allow offices to communicate with subjects should the need arise before the arrival of negotiators. They will also learn how to effect an emergency entry to a building or area, with limited resources if it is deemed the life’s of hostages are at risk.

This course is to train suitable patrol officers for armed response.  The course equips officers with suitable skills to be able to react to spontaneous incidents whilst carrying out their normal patrol duties.

Delegates will be trained in lethal, less lethal tactics and containment, and will have the ability to carry out basic foot and and mobile intercepts, including intercepting potentially armed and dangerous subjects.

Our advanced tactical training concentrates on the specialist tactics required to move tactical officers with basic skills to the next level. Delegates receive training in method of entry, arrest operations concerning suspects on foot and in vehicles, hostage rescue tactics from vehicles and buildings, use of Taser and AEPs, observation post skills, weapon retention skills, advanced pistol, rifle and personal defence tactics.

The training greatly enhances existing tactical or SWAT units’ ability to conduct emergency search, deliberate search, silent search, and dynamic search. The training is particularly effective for delegates who may be called on to rescue hostages as threat, risk and harm is reduced whilst suspects are in a reduced state of alert.

This course enables law enforcement officers to protect themselves using simple but effective restraint and defensive tactics. The course also examines weapon retention tactics in conflict situations.

This course will enable the officer to deliver personal defence training. They will teach the tactical side partnered with the legal and medical implications. They will be taught how to produce practical scenarios and debrief the officers after completing the scenario to explain their actions and why the tactical option they choose was suitable. 90% of officers choose the correct tactical option, however only 45% can properly explain in detail their actions. This course will equip the instructor with the skills to develop officers not only in tactical skills, but give them the ability to explain in detail their rationale for using these tactics.

Firearms Training

We design bespoke firearms training courses from foundation training up to tier one SWAT / Counter Terror Specialist Firearms Officer (CTSFO). All training is delivered by Tier 1 / CTSFOs, who are experienced in the rule of law and human rights compliance. The training is realistic, and scenario based. Safety, good decision making in shoot don't shoot situations are core themes of all our firearms training. We also offer training in less lethal weapons, so a client has the option to make a graduated response to the threat posed.

The course focuses on the safe handling of pistols used in the clients operating environment. Attention is paid to target acquisition and handling skills. Good decision making and safety is at the forefront of all training delivery.

This course is designed for law enforcement personnel who have already attained the foundation skills required when using pistols. Safety, handling drills and procedures, tactical reloads, stoppage and malfunction drills, tactical firing positions including firing on the move or from vehicles, room combat drills, overt and covert carrying options, drawing and firing techniques, will all be explored using realistic scenarios. This course is usually delivered with our advanced rifle course.

This course is designed for law enforcement personnel who have already attained the foundation skills required when using carbines / tactical rifles. Safety, handling drills and procedures, tactical reloads, stoppage and malfunction drills, tactical firing positions including firing on the move or from vehicles, room combat drills, overt and covert carrying options, drawing and firing techniques, will all be explored using realistic scenarios. This course is usually delivered in tandem with our advanced pistol course.

This course is designed to enable law enforcement personnel to master the skills of safe, consistent and accurate shooting over distance. Shooting from standing, kneeling, sitting and prone positions will be explored utilising cover and camouflage techniques. Site adjustments for both elevation and wind deflection and consistent engagement of the correct target under realistic scenario conditions will be continually assessed throughout the course. Counter sniper tactics will also be examined.

The course enables law enforcement personnel to gain the skills necessary to deploy less lethal options such as Taser and AEP’s. De-escalation tactics will be examined throughout the course in realistic scenario situations such as dealing with the emotionally disturbed.

As law enforcement decision making is increasingly questioned this course develops delegates ability to provide effective tactical advice to strategic and tactical commanders in relation to incidents and operations that may require the deployment of firearms or less lethal options as part of a policing response.

This course has been designed to assist delegates gain the necessary skills to perform the duties of a close protection officer. The course concentrates on ensuring delegates understand the role of close protection, planning and briefing, threat assessment, conflict management, vehicle security, vehicle search, route recce, building security, tactical driving, embus and debus, walking drills and residential security (home and office).

This course is designed for delegates who have basic close protection skills or who have undertaken our foundation course. The training concentrates on anti-surveillance tactics, covert close protection drills, advanced tactical driving in hostile environments, planning venue security at major events, media awareness, advanced conflict management, use of technology to secure premises and OSINT research techniques.

This course is aimed at enhancing the skill base of existing close protection teams, with training emphasis on tactical movement skills, command room procedures, anti-ambush skills, extraction of principal from buildings and vehicles, convoy drills, team fire and movement drills, reacting to residential security and identifying and securing immediate safe room.

This course has been designed to develop delegates called on to manage public order and public safety situations before during and after events. Instruction will be offered on preparing operational plans and risk assessments. This course utilises proven decision making, intelligence gathering and tactical models in relation to law enforcement deployment at protest or potential riot situations.

Delegates will be shown best practice about tactics that can be deployed before, during and after public safety events with an emphasis on riot causal or aggravating factors. Delegates will use a decision-making model throughout the course that will assist them achieve strategic aims set by gold command. Interactive scenarios based on real events will be utilised throughout the course.

This course has been designed to develop delegates ability to coordinate an integrated response to critical or potentially critical incidents. Real-life scenarios will be explored during the course which will see delegates take command and control of various incidents. Media messaging and strategies will be part of the key learning delivered on the course.

Community policing should be a dominant philosophy with policing organisations. It is not a regime, but a modular concept of learning, which benefits all aspects of the community and the organisation that polices it. This course provides bespoke training for the managerial and administrative systems that support a community and tailors their organisational needs to that community to counter fear, crime and community hostility.

This course develops delegates skills when attending an incident or crime. Delegates will through active role play attain the knowledge required to preserve scenes and compile police reports detailing salient facts and evidence. The needs of victims will also be explored utilising a victim needs matrix. Lifesaving first aide awareness will also be studied.

This course has been designed by our internationally decorated hostage negotiator and provides delegates with effective communication and listening skills through a combination of theoretical and practical exercises. By the end of the course, delegates can deliver safe outcomes in a range of live at risk scenarios including, suicide prevention, domestic, criminal siege and hostage taking.

This course has been designed for hostage and crisis negotiators focusing on the management of kidnap scenarios. The course provides the confidence and operational skills required to manage fast moving kidnap scenarios. Focus will be on hostage management, proof of life, selection and management of intermediaries, ransom demands, safe payment sequences, courier selection management and briefing.

We have developed a state of the art hi-risk conflict response training model, which aims to provide a simple model for complex high pressure scenarios. The model maintains its simplicity to ensure law enforcement officers can access effectively at times of high stress when freeze, flight and fight responses are activated, and psychological processing ability is impaired. The model can be applied within a broad range of law enforcement arenas, including public order deployments, specialist firearms operations, under cover intelligence operations and senior management hi-risk operational decision making. This training has been developed over many years by one of our resident PhDs who based the model on findings derived from his work with operationally deployed law enforcement officers and the military.

Our financial crime training assists delegates gain the skills to understand what financial crime means in a constantly evolving arena. The course examines what the current threats and risks are, concentrating on financial crime topics such as money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, bribery and corruption, identity theft, banking fraud typologies and fraud controls. The course raises awareness of laws and regulations, and systems and controls aimed at ensuring national and international compliance.

This course was designed for delegates tasked with investigating the ever-changing world of money laundering. Delegates will be trained to understand all the stages involved in money laundering and how to recognise suspicious activity indicative of the crime. Training emphasis is placed on how the internet can be used to facilitate this crime and how offshore jurisdictions are often key to the criminal’s success. The course examines how trusts, stocks and bonds are used by organised crime groups to launder proceeds of crime both nationally and internationally.

Other Courses

Law enforcement officers interact with the media today more than ever before as the technology to report the news is at the fingertips of almost anyone. Some law enforcement messaging to media is excellent but often through lack of training messaging can be delivered in a manner that attracts criticism. Consequently, we have assembled an expert team who equip our delegates with the skills required to deliver professional and focused messaging during interaction with the media. The course gives perspective from both a journalist and law enforcements point of view on what to expect during a major incident. We examine all facets of the media, from television, radio, and print journalism to social media. Both good and bad practice will be critically examined.

Case studies will be used to highlight the benefits and dangers of media use. Where appropriate delegates will have their responses/inputs recorded to assist with learning and self-reflection for personal development.

Focus will be given to law enforcement messaging to media, dealing with journalists, delivery to journalists on critical incidents, body language and emotional intelligence, interview locations and law enforcement and social media.
